About this deal

While the strap of the ’84’ is more pliable, it doesn’t exactly wrap around the wrist as nicely as the ’91’s. This is the watch that garners the most comments from people, especially on the aftermarket suede strap.

This particular watch is very special to my heart, as it's the watch I was issued in the British Army, back in 2005. It has the older thinner model text, the "Lithium" word to promote the fact it has a lithium battery, and the alarm graphic right below that to promote the fact it has an alarm function.I love the design of this watch, but I always forget which button does what function, as the labels are (stupidly) on the back. The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars is because I personally think it has too much going on with the screen. Available in black colour with a resin strap or in silver or gold colours with a stainless steel bracelet.

This is part of the G-SHOCK 40th Anniversary collection, and has a unique strap listing some of the more popular models from the G-SHOCK lineup over the years. This leaves the only method of distinguishing them as assessing the overall build quality, timekeeping accuracy, display viewing angle and the printing on the screen glass. The upper left button, labeled "Light", turns on the light, cancels the alarm, resets the stopwatch or marks the split (lap) time, and is used for selecting settings. The fonts are straight out of the mid-80s, and there’s a “Lithium” inscription that doesn’t appear on the F-91W.

I guess that depends on whether or not Casio wants to spend the money to put this in a box, because that's the way all Casio North American packaging works for their watches. And if you’re into the vintage design as much as I am, then you’ll get a lot of mileage out of this inexpensive watch. We welcome all manufacturers including Casio G-Shock, OMEGA, Rolex, Breitling, Rolex and Tudor, Seiko, Grand Seiko and others. Sensor Watch — an unofficial open-source hardware circuit board replacement for original F-91W and A158W watches, based on ARM Cortex M0+ microchip with various additional sensors.
