Doors on each side let you choose your entry point according to the prevailing wind, and can also be opened as vents when camping in warmer weather. With that end being just that little bit lower, it’s a little more aerodynamic and experiences less buffeted by the wind. Also, on the aerodynamic front, the mesh pole sleeves that reduce wind resistance are a must. They lower the amount of wind resistance and tent movement often experienced on similar tents without them. Internal space in great for solo camping and would be decent for two but as usual with tent sizing three adults in the tent would be very tight in both sleeping and living areas. The only criticism I have is the very reflective strip that runs around the base of the tent. It’s great for helping you find your tent, and it looks cool too, but for a stealth camper it may bother you. To give that price some context we then looked at all of the products available from Go Outdoors in the 3 – 4 Person Tents category. We found 21 items in total. That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from OEX so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at OEX branded products within the 3 – 4 Person Tents category. The outer flysheet material is more than capable in the waterproof department. Being made from 5000HH, we were kept adequately dry from the Scottish weather.Speaking of all weathers, we were hoping for snow, but on our first night, we didn’t get any. What we did get overnight was plenty of rain.
