The paddle board is constructed using dual-layer PVC. The rails have an extra PVC layer to make the board even more rigid. Good quality: Despite the price, this FunWater SUP is tough and can take a beating. It is stiff enough to support up to 330 pounds so bigger paddlers can use it too. Rail Finishing The rail, to a great extent, gives an idea of how the inflatable board is built. This part of the board takes extensive chafe and punishment in the water and needs to be appropriately reinforced to last.

Consider getting the Gili Air 11’6 if you’re a taller or heavier paddler like me. I weigh about 192 lbs at 6’1 and, like with the Nautical, the Air 11’6 performs much better for me. Unfortunately, the paddle is made of aluminum, which is sort of expected when it comes to cheap paddle boards. But seeing as some lower-priced SUPs are now offering fiberglass paddles (like the Nautical), I hope that Gili Sports will follow suit. The unit also comes with a carry handle at the centre, which makes it easy for you to haul when you want to transport the board.

The paddle boards reviewed here are not the cheapest options on the market. But they are the cheapest quality boards I could find. The inflatable paddle board is wide at 33 inches. This is one of the things that make it versatile. It is stable enough for most SUP activities. The paddle has a fiberglass shaft and a polyurethane blade. It is 45% lighter than a standard aluminum paddle.
