About this deal

CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen, on the other hand, is a hybrid sunscreen formula that can be used on your face and body. It’s water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, which makes it an ideal choice for anyone who is spending a lot of time in the sun, swimming, or sweating. For additional help choosing the right products for your skin’s needs, head to our Skincare Solution Finder. One way to help combat concerns of roughness is by choosing gentle moisturisers with beneficial ingredients like ceramides and niacinamide. CeraVe’s AM and PM Facial Moisturisers include both, making either one a great option for supporting soft, comfortable-feeling skin. If you have additional questions about ingrown hairs or other specific concerns, consult with a healthcare professional 6. Look for a minimum of SPF 30 in your daytime moisturiser Moisturizer and sunscreen are two essential steps in any skincare routine for healthy-looking skin. To help keep things simple, you can use a facial moisturizer that includes broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen, like our AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. Facial moisturizers with sunscreen allow you to hydrate your skin and help protect it from the sun’s rays in one convenient step. However, sunscreens must be reapplied at least every two hours for sunscreen protection. Even though men’s skin may produce more oil, it still requires plenty of hydration to look (and feel) its best. In fact, when your skin becomes too dry, it may actually trigger increased oiliness and shine as a result. That’s why using a moisturiser twice daily is so essential, even if your skin is prone to excess oiliness. Remember to look for men’s moisturisers that are lightweight, and non-comedogenic. 4. What is SPF?

The main function of any sunscreen is to help protect your skin from potential damage caused by sun exposure. For this reason, daily protection against the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays is a must-have step in any skincare routine. A broad-spectrum sunscreen formula works by either creating a barrier on the skin’s surface to reflect UV rays using ingredients like zinc oxide (known as “mineral” or “physical sunscreen”), or absorbing UV radiation with chemical-based ingredients (known as “chemical sunscreen”). Whereas some sunscreens can feel heavy and greasy on your skin, CeraVe’s moisturizers with SPF are formulated to feature a lightweight and non-greasy texture, and are non-comedogenic—meaning they don’t have the potential to clog your pores. SPF, or ' sun protection factor' measures the amount of time a product will protect you from the sun's UV rays. So, obviously, the higher the SPF, the more effective it'll be. The ingredients within a product containing SPF work to shield your skin from the sun, creating a barrier cream and protecting your skin barrier from damage. That's why it's so important to wear SPF. What is broad-spectrum SPF? The first step is determining your skin type. Your skin type is defined by your skin’s usual qualities. The primary skin types include oily, normal, dry, combination and sensitive skin. If you’re not sure of your skin type, try observing how your skin looks and feels approximately 30 minutes after cleansing. If your skin has excess shine, you likely have oily skin. Dry skin, on the other hand, may feel tight, itchy, and uncomfortable. And whereas normal skin will appear neither too oily nor too dry, combination skin tends to have a mix of both dry and oily areas (especially around the T-zone) 2. Choose a moisturiser with ceramides Any product with added SPF, including face creams, foundations or sunscreen all work in the same way. Without getting too technical, they include specific ingredients that sit on the surface of the skin and reflect UV rays. That way, your skin doesn't absorb the damage. Depending on the ingredients and the factor, moisturisers with SPF can be an effective way to protect you from skin damage.
