About this deal

Field Paste is my “go-to” solution when I’m concerned about my horses hoof health. Good effective product” Using underneath hoof pads with farriers hemp on a 6 week shoeing cycle, keeps the feet clean and bacteria free. Also helps prevent formation of a retained sole as it can still breathe and it lets the sole dehydrate as it would naturally which aids exfoliation”

Storm’ an 8 year old eventer was stopping at even very small fences for no apparent reason after previously having been a reliable jumping horse. Vets, farriers and multiple instructors had failed to identify the problem. Brilliant product definitely recommend .. Actually smells medicinal too! Gives peace of mind for field kept ponies” My horse Arnie had a terrible foot abscess a while ago where the vet decided to cut open a large part of the front of his hoof thinking the abscess was there and to relieve the pain, however it was much deeper than this and the abscess eventually burst at the coronet! I did use Sole Cleanse and Field Paste on the other three hooves while on box rest. Field Paste worked better than Sole Paste imo for box rest. I have used Sole Cleanse and Field Paste ad hoc for years to keep thrush at bay in wet weather (mud)

I am a barefoot trimmer and have been recommending Field Paste to all my costumers. It’s the best product I have ever used for smelly frogs!” These marks may have pushed the trimmer to take the walls right low, to relieve the pressure in the outer quarter walls. The risk of this is making the horse walk on sole and frog, which if weak, by thrush, usually - the horse is sore. I find all Red Horse Products fantastic. We use this plus Sole Paint and Sole Cleanse. Brilliant products”

Brilliant stuff, our horses feet have never been better. Won’t use anything else ever again. Thanks for making a miracle paste x” Hoof-Stuff is advised for use in deeper, tighter holes in the hooves where it is deemed fabric would stay. With shallower holes Artimud is advised instead.

Do a soak with something like CleanTrax. It is an oxine based disinfectant and won't damage healthy tissue. However without seeing a picture and based in the information it does sound like if there is a deep cleft than heels have to be contracted to some degree and if the frog is weak there is also a chance that the heels are underrun but masked with shoeing.
