The new chapter presents a theory of the nature of being and proceeds to apply this theory to two problems of ontology: the problem of non-existent objects and the problem of universals. Personally, I disagreed with him more often than not, but that simply embroiled me in this text even more. Van Inwagen argues for physicalism about the human person, and libertarian free will about said persons powers.
