It lasts 24 hours i can say as i can still smell the perfume from the clothes ive worn the other day. I was expecting melon but not this kind of half dry melon peel with slight hint of dried lily of the valley. And in the development and in the dry-down the fragrance transforms and becomes very similar to an Eau D'Issey. Thanks to the cool Lily of the Valley and the slight bite of Rhubarb,this really is an intriguing fragrance. Eventually the melon and peach make appearances, but there are no other flowers and no sweetness in Sapphires at any point for me.They have also reached product maturity (the product has long since made back all the money it cost to bring it to market). I think most of her fragrances are either very distinctive, lush and sophisticated, or light, feminine and pretty. Love the smell of Diamonds and Sapphires on women it says recommended for office wear HELL YES smells very classy and sophisticated. I consider Diamonds and Sapphires to be an excellent choice, provided this variety of Grown Up Fruity Floral appeals to your taste.

The two fragrances combined create a fresh airy clean white floral scent that is perfect for spring and summer. The Galbanum, in the top of all places, tames the aldehydes and gives the Melon something to grab onto. I'm not a fan of melon in perfumery and this fragrance isn't entirely awful, but I am certain that anyone wearing a heavy-handed application of this would induce an instant migraine and nausea. this xmas so i thought ill give it a miss , then i spotted this little gem cautiously i thought will i like it as much as lizzies other perfume in the ranges , but i thought at a 10.

I don't feel that way about Diamonds and Sapphires but I do feel exactly the same about Diamonds and Emeralds.

There is melon but it isn't sickly like the rest of those perfume I mentioned and my nose picks up a lot of the peach and rhubarb. More than anything, I smell a heavy lily-of-the-valley note: delicate, lady-like, classy, and very "white" in terms of smell-color relation.This is so nineties, but people around me are too young to remember it, so it feels like something innovative. There's a sharpness to it which makes it almost aquatic, which I find perfect for the warmer months. When they were released, I was a teenager and thought they were probably to mature for me at the time. This is definitely a great sweet-tart-green-fruity balance with the rose/jasmin/ylang combo constantly dancing in the background and it manages to be fresh, sensual and interesting at the same time.
