The brake is not heavy enough for you to accidentally move the Pedals away from you and the grips on the bottom were sufficient for the short time I used them on my desk setup. I've been looking to upgrade from my G29 for a couple of years now and have listen and watched various reviews on youtube regarding the Moza R5 wheel base, decide to take the plunge and puchases and I'm not disappointed with the quality, it makes the driving experience so much better than before - well done Moza for bringing to the table an affordable quality product to challenge other makes, thanks. After more than 20 years of sim racing i decided to get a Direct Drive wheel and wanted the Moza R5 kit. Of course, I use that analogy loosely, as there isn’t anything overly calm about the current era of Formula 1 cars. Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions.

So much has changed in that short space of time that we are now seeing wheelbase, steering wheel AND pedal combos for almost half that. I actually preferred it with the FSR and not because of the screen, but because it’s only 280mm, just like the ES rim. I’m going to start with the R5 wheel base as that is possibly the most intriguing part of this whole bundle. This was only an issue with the R5 and I believe that it’s something to do with the wired communication to the wheel rim.However, there is still so little resistance in the brake that I can fully depress the brake pedal by simply pushing with one finger. The MOZA Pit House control center offers convenient device monitoring, settings adjustment, and preset loading.

The R9 base caught a lot of PC sim racer’s attention, and its ever-growing selection of rims and pedals are tempting more drivers each and every day. They’re still usable but this type of movement does affect their performance and will ultimately cause unnecessary wear and tear as well as sacrificing performance. This three-pedal set is made from CNC machined aluminum alloy, and features a load-cell brake and a three-stage clutch pedal.

The direct drive force feedback is without a doubt a step up in both strength and fidelity compared to gear or belt-driven wheels such as the Logitech G923 or Thrustmaster T248. There are inputs for the Pedals and a dash on the rear but you cannot connect the handbrake directly to this unit. This is an entry level pedal set but you can fully adjust the pedal curves and deadzones in the software exactly like you would with higher end offerings. There’s no money off the more powerful — you guessed it, 16Nm and 21Nm — R16 and R21 models, but they do come with a free gift, consisting of an RM Digital Dashboard.
