Teenager Yuma Azawa transfers to a new high school but something strange seems to have followed him there. Dissolving Classroom is very much aimed at fans who have read his other stuff and want more, but if it’s your first time picking up a Junji Ito work, I suggest starting with something that got made into a movie. Dissolving Classroom, however, does feature a lot of good, solid scares accompanied by his trademark detail work. Overall I was very entertained with this creepy duo, even if it was never fully explained who was telling the truth, but that is to be expected from Junji Ito. They were also thought-provoking, for example the way people all over the world put so much emphasis on beauty and apologizing too much. Of course, if we're to believe both Chizumi's claims that Yuuma is a devil worshiper and Yuuma's claims that Chizumi is the devil's spawn, there might be more to it than simply brotherly attachment.
