Some subtle nods to them though in the film but by comparison its not for the squeamish or those who don't enjoy jump/scares. Sick of seeing horror movies that are just not scary and just rely on blood and gore but this movie adds a touch of humour and is the perfect mix in my opinion. Other than that, this is currently the definitive set for Evil Dead Rise and a must have for Evil Dead Collector's. In terms of action, Shane is also a huge James Bond fan and the ending of No Time to Die was the hardest he's ever cried in a theater. Evil Dead Rise, the eagerly-awaited latest entry in the iconic horror franchise, is hitting big screens on a wave of positive reviews, and looks to be essential viewing for all fans of the genre.

The Hole in the Ground director Lee Cronin has terrified a whole new generation by shifting locations for the latest Deadite invasion from a remote cabin in the woods to Los Angeles. I love the beginning when the first possessed begins to quote Wuthering Heights and comes out to take over the others' souls.
