About this deal

The company thought nothing of the purchase until the next year when Blade Runner was released and several scenes showed Ford’s Deckard drinking Johnny Walker Black out of the Double Old Fashioned Glass. The Blade Runner whisky glass is made from hand blown crystal glass by the original Italian company since 1974.

The Arnolfo di Cambio collections are designed to combine the pleasures of sight and touch with aesthetic taste , thanks to the talent of historical designers such as Cini Boeri, Ettore Sottsass, Michele De Lucchi and many others. The Blade Runner whisky glass is made from hand blown crystal glass by Arnolfo di Cambio, the original Italian company who has been making them since 1974. The glass was designed by renowned Italian designer Cini Boeri in 1973, and is produced by Arnolfo di Cambio, one of Italy’s most respected glass makers. Each object is precious and reflects the creative genius of famous designers and the passion of our glass masters. The following year the movie Blade Runner, Ridley Scott’s visionary masterpiece, was released in cinemas.

The 1982 dystopian science fiction action film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Sean Young - and it’s sequel directed by Denis Villeneuve. The neutral buoyancy sinks slowly aiding simple recapture of the magnet and will not plummet to the bottom of the tank if it is knocked off, causing potential damage to delicate corals. Unfortunately they all leaked so the copies were used for set decoration only and simply became static props. Arnolfo di Cambio were supplying many props for the movie and Scott chose the square Cibi old fashioned glass specially for its unique design which has proved to be timeless. The tumbler, which was formerly known as the Cibi Old Fashioned Glass, was dreamt up by famed Italian designer Cini Boeri in 1973.

Personally, I don't mind a smaller glass; I just hope that the logo comes off with some solvent or other.New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . Arnolfo di Cambio, the Italian glassmaker behind the famous tumbler, has decided to rebrand it as the Blade Runner Glass, according to HypeBeast. But while the movie’s flying cars and futuristic set design may have stolen the show, even its minor props have had an impact. Director Ridley Scott says “When it comes to science fiction, the devil is in the details”, and this attention to detail included using the Cibi glasses we know and love. The Highball tumbler from the CIBI collection, is an handcrafted crystal glass perfect for long drinks and juices.
