The BlackVue 750S is super stealthy in parked mode in that it turns off all LED indicators in Parked Mode. Additionally, Thinkware’s excellent products provide the driver assistance features lacking in the DR750S-2CH. I appreciate the extensive time and effort Vortex has devoted to the subject of radar detector technology. The recently released BlackVue DR750S-2CH IR (see video) and DR750S-2CH TRUCK dashcams offer great monitoring solutions to taxi, ride hailing (Uber, Lyft) and truck drivers.

Download the firmware to your mobile device (Menu button on the app's Home screen > Firmware download) and do a Firmware Over-The-Air upgrade (BLACKVUE WI-FI > Gear icon > Firmware upgrade (FOTA)).

Nothing against some of the other units, it’s just that seeing the same high-quality from both directions is quite cool. They’re not particularly delicate, but it will pay to be careful with them if you connect/disconnect the wires often. DR750S-2CH TRUCK supports microSD cards up to 128GB, allowing the user increased recording time if required. The day video is also great, albeit with the mild fish-eye distortion due to the wide field of view.

You’ll hear my laser jammers go off and see a truck that sped past me at the very beginning of the video wind up getting a speeding ticket. It sometimes gets triggered by mistake if you open and close your trunk or get in your car and shut the door, but you don’t drive away immediately.
